Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS), Pune was established in 1993 and in 2002, the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India conferred on Symbiosis, the status of deemed to be University. Symbiosis today comprises of 37 institutes imparting training in diverse disciplines. It has over 45,000 students who hail from all states of India and from 60 different countries.

IMS is a constituent of the prestigious Symbiosis International University and the college is an ISO 9001:2000 quality certified management institute and a top-tier provider of business education across the spectrum. SIMS is ranked 23rd nationwide by "Business world" in their 'B-schools' issue of 24 December 2007. It is an accredited "Centre for Corporate Governance" of the 'National Foundation of Corporate Governance' (est by Min of Corporate Affairs and CII).

Eligibility

MBA

A Candidate should be a graduate from a statutory university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Students appearing in their final year degree examination can apply but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks overall at a qualifying exam before August, 2014

Defence category candidate should be ward of Defence Personnel as mentioned above.

Intake

MBA – 300 seats.

Fees are subject to change.

Hostel, Mess, Campus, Insurance, Gymnasium fees are separate and will be intimated later.

Security Deposit is for Hostel and Library which is refundable.

Includes Examination, convocation and transcript fees which are subject to change.

Admission Process:

DTE conducts MH-CET examination and allotment of the seats through Centralised Admission Process. 20% of the seats which is management quota are filled at institute level in which candidates with any of the above exams are eligible.

Original Documents Required During the Admission Process for MBA Course (with Four Attested Copies)

• Certificate of Indian Nationality in the name of the Candidate
• The School leaving Certificate indicating the Nationality of the candidate as 'Indian' or
• Indian Passport in the name of the candidate issued by appropriate authorities or
• Birth Certificate of the Candidate indicating the place of birth in India
• Statement of marks of HSC and SSC
• Statement of marks of all years of for the Bachelor's Degree Examination (i.e. the qualifying Degree examination) in case the candidate has passed the bachelor's degree examination 
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• Caste/Tribe Validity Certificate (if applicable)
• Non Creamy Layer Certificate
• Domicile Certificate State & National
• Undertaking in proforma in Original
• Any other relevant document
• DTE Allotment Letter
