Ramaiah Institute of Management Studies (RIMS), Bangalore is an institution of higher education dedicated to the cause of business education. The institution is a part of the M S Ramaiah Foundation, a charitable trust that has the avowed objective of providing exemplary service in all of its offerings. It is the first and only b-school in India to have earned two CHEA (Council for Higher Education Accreditation, USA) recognized accreditations for its PGPM and MBA programs-the accreditations have been granted with commendations by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), USA and the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), USA.

Admissions criteria and Process

General: RIMS Programs are designed for individuals who like intellectual challenges, are passionate to learn and are committed to creating a learning experience that would lead to success in professional and personal lives. Thus, aspirants would ideally be positively charged with enthusiasm and an abiding spirit of inquiry.

Process: The admissions process is designed to factor both your accomplishments and your potential. Therefore, the following components are used in deciding on your request:

• Individual Oral Presentation on a topic to be picked up on the spot (3 minutes)
• Written Essay / Abstract / Review on a topic to be assigned during the admissions process (20 minutes)
• Personal Interview
• X Standard: 7.50%
• XII Standard: 7.50%
• Graduation: 20.00%
• Entrance Test Score: 10%
• Work Experience: 5%
• Post-Graduation: 5%
• Oral Presentation: 15%
• Written Assignment: 15%
• Personal Interview: 15%
• IMPORTANT NOTE:
• Admission to RIMS is based purely on merit. Any attempt to use extraneous considerations will automatically disqualify a candidate.

Eligibility:

Screening of Applications based on cut-off marks and past credits.  

• Minimum Scores - 50% in Degree  

• Valid score in All India Aptitude test conducted by XAT / CAT / MAT / ATMA / JMET / CMAT  

• Group discussion /Essay writing focusing on General and Social issues of the present times.  

• Panel Interview for final selection.  

• Personal Interview with Director.  

• Payment of Fees
